Thelma Levett, a 54 year old balloon modeller from Hinckley, Leicestershire, was inspired by Kate Middleton’s royal wedding dress to set to creating a masterpiece from balloons.
Mrs Levett, who has two daughters, has made many household items and even a car in the past, a pink Cadillac which was created as a gift for a friend’s birthday, out of balloons. This latest construction is not the first dress Thelma has created, having made a couple of dresses previously, and even another wedding dress, but this special dress had one of the most famous wedding dresses of modern times as it’s inspiration.

The famous and much admired royal wedding dress worn by Kate Middleton when she tied the knot with Prince William went on display this weekend inside Buckingham Palace.

For the low price of £60, brides can walk down the aisle wearing an imitation white dress modelled on the dress worn by Kate Middleton, complete with satin sash and bow, lace detailing and sweetheart neckline. The budget wedding dress has short sleeves, however, rather than the full length lace sleeves on the Sarah Burton dress that adorned Kate on her big day.
